Blacksmith Animation

These are all still render images of a sword crafting process animation I made with this blacksmith scene. The purpose of the animation was to show the process of how swords are crafted in a blacksmith shop. The best part of this in my opinion was being able correctly use the lighting functions that this software contains to make the objects look realistic

Ninas Waffles

I work at an ice cream and waffle shop called Ninas Waffles. I Decided that it would be fun to 3D model the core parts of the shop. I struggled with the lighting of the shop because of and outside nature globe function I put into the scene. The forest picture that I put into the globe messed with the lighting a bit but it was required for the project that I was assigned.

Team Project clips

These are some small clips of a team animation project that my teacher had us do. My part of the job was to create a small title clip showing one of the characters. After the title clip, I would have to show him looking into mirrors nodding. This is not that much and this was from a long time ago. But, the purpose of this post is to show that I have experience with 2D animation and scene making.

My Skateboard Design

I once saw a bunch of skateboards hung up and I thought that it would be a good experience to design one myself. I used Adobe Photoshop and In Design for this project. This was one of my favorite side projects because I learned a lot of new mechanics in photoshop that can be very useful. For example, layer stacking, lightning, and clouds.

Skills USA

This is a Skills USA competition animation. Skills USA is vocational competition where students in vocational tech schools gather and compete against each other. My competition was themed 3D Visualization. I had a partner classmate and I represent our school in this specific competition. How this competition happens is that we are given a topic and we had to make a short film that is related to it. Our topic was to make a Skills USA recruitment video to try to get people to join Skills USA. The video had to include some sort of vocational skill demonstration as well. This film showed art and robotics. Me and my partner ended up placing second our of all teams in New Jersey with this video and the still rendered images that we had to take of the scene.. Unfortunately the video is too big to post but here are the still rendered images.

Remember

This is typography. Typography is the art or process of arranging type of any shape into unique styles. This specific piece is a quote from the movie V for Vendetta, with Alan Moore playing V. This quote discuses the Fifth of November; which is the day that a British domestic terrorist known as Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up an entire parliament with the king in it. This small poem always interested me so I thought that I would try to make it look cool in typography. I have not had much practice with typography in the past and I know that it is a useful skill to have. This was my first project with it.

Mascot recruitment Posters

While I was a student at hunterdon Central Regional High School. From my Sophomore to Senior year, I was the mascot of the school. When the last couple months of school were approaching, My principal told me that they were going to need the suit back so they can use it for tryouts next year. I saw this as an opportunity to make some sort of cool poster imitating Uncle Sam from the "America Needs YOU poster". I have always wanted to do that with me myself because my name is sam as well. I made these two posters and plenty of them for my principal to hang up around the school next year to get people interested in trying out.
